Famous Guests of Hotel Telegrafo

The Hotel Telegrafo on Havana's Parque Central is the Cuban "home" of author Pete Bjarkman.

PETER C. BJARKMAN (born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19, 1941) is author of 40-plus books on sports history, including academic histories, coffee table pictorials, and biographies for young adult readers. He is perhaps best known in recent years as the leading authority on post-revolution Cuban League baseball and is also the first American to write regular columns and analysis on two "official" Cuban League baseball websites. His 2007 book, is universally recognized as the definitive work treating the history of Cuba's national pastime.

Welcome to my site dedicated to the Hotel Telegrafo in Old Havana,, Cuba. I am "poco a poco" researching and updating it with the aim to provide as complete as possible record of the hotel's ancient and recent history; bearing in mind that the goings-on today may one day be of historical interest.

My site is NOT the official website of the current hotel operator, and is by no means endorsed by them; but I am grateful for their help with the research.

You can make from this site room reservations through the Bizloco eTravel System operated by, Cubaism Ltd.

Best wishes for 2017
